That’s right folks: the one, the only Sister Placida Mosha is coming to Canada. We are organizing two events in her honour, one in Ottawa and one in Waterloo. Here are the important details:
1. Tuesday June 22nd, 7:15pm at Glebe Collegiate Institute (Auditorium), Ottawa
2. Tuesday June 29th, 7:15pm at St. Paul’s College at the University of Waterloo (McKirdy Hall), Waterloo
At the event Sister Placida and I will give a detailed update of recent developments at Imani, providing a first-hand accounting of the support she has received from us. As an international award winner for creative rural development (http://www.woman.ch/june09/women/laureates08/laureates-africa-5.php), Sister Placida will share with you her vision for future developments at Imani, and for rural Africa in general. In addition there will be light refreshments, a meet and greet with Sister Placida, door prizes, African items for sale, and best of all both events are free. Prepare to be captivated by this remarkable individual. Hope to see you there!

Hope you have a great time with Sr. Placida.
I’ve alerted our son Jamie (Born in Nairobi in 82) and our daughter Angie who visited her with us in 08.
Erla and I had her and Don here for a visit today-took her fishing in my canoe on the Ottawa river! Told her that’s what a real Canadian fishpond looks like! A 1 meter pike jumped out of the water 40meters from the boat, and she got a little excited. Wanted to go over there and catch it right away!
Have a great visit with her.
